Hey guys it’s Ash.
You wouldn’t know it now but growing up in Vancouver Canada I was never much of a traveler.
I took my first trip overseas at 22 and remember having a mini panic attack on the Stansted Express into London watching all those red brick houses fly by. I never knew I’d call that city home for over 3 years.
I never knew I’d call any other city home for that matter.
So it still sounds strange telling people I’ve lived in Barcelona for nine years.
Why a Blog?
This all started as a way of documenting my time here in Barcelona.
Then I realized there are very few Barcelona websites that put a human face on an informative travel guide. That’s my goal right there. As cheesy as it sounds I want you to feel like you’ve got a friend in Barcelona.
You’ll get customized responses with insider info on Barcelona absolutely free.
On Barcelona Hacks you’ll also get:
- Thorough information on Barcelona’s top attractions
- Hacks on how to visit the city like a local
- A community of fellow travelers sharing information
- Informative food and drink guides based on real experiences
- Sage budgeting advice
- A shop offering skip the line tickets at the lowest prices possible
Why Barcelona Hacks?
Barcelona Hacks does not feature sponsored content and all of the reviews found on the website are from experiences I or any of my friends and/or colleagues have had personally.
If any company is featured here it is because I’ve tried them first.
Our lists are constantly retried, refreshed, or redone to ensure the most up to date information possible. This is the advantage of living here – and having an astute community of readers like you!
From documenting my time to taking up all my time – a massive jump in traffic and interaction in 2018 is what inspired me to take a chance and quit my job as an English teacher to focus on this blog full time.
The result is a 100% secure e-commerce website in conjunction with Clorian: the official e-ticket manager for Barcelona’s top attractions. They sell over 8,000,000 tickets a year in the city.
You’ll also find links to the most reputable ticket brokers online.
